Drummey who leaves Bristol June 1 to join U S Rubber Company in Naugatuck Conn as export contact supervisor. The program featured group singing James Wylie vocals Anthony Nunes boxing bouts and orchestra. Francis Connell presented a set of golf clubs on behalf of the attendees.

State Board Refuses Bristol Extension On Water Pollution Case
Judge Edw L Leahy sought more time for Bristol to hire experts as the State Board of Pollution of Waters refused any extension. Chairman Connolly said the board is there to decide pollution issues not costs or taxpayer attitudes. The town denied polluting the waters and the board warned no extra delay.

Town Council Reverses Bus Substitution Plan After Commuter Protest
About fifty commuters led by Walter E. Munroe protested a previous council decision to replace train service south of Franklin Street with buses. The council rescinded the order and instructed letters to the N Y N H H Railroad and the Public Utilities Commission to request a public hearing if service changes are sought, and to correct the prior misstep.
