Girl Scouts Arrange Don's How June 5 Dog Show
The Bristol County Dog Show under Girl Scout Council will be held Saturday afternoon June 5 on the estate of Mr G Andrew Moriarty Bristol Neck. All dogs including puppies and novices may enter a class with patrons receiving admission to the ring and the right to show one dog. Exhibitors pay a nominal daily fee per class. Girl Scouts run refreshment booths at the fair.

Bristol boy earns Major Bowes audition invite
William Rohrman 15 of 38 Collins Street has been accepted for Major Bowes Amateur Hour in New York. He, known in Bristol for a hillbilly guitar and harmonica act, will travel May 23 and audition May 25, after performing on WJAR Children’s Hour and winning prizes in Bristol Warren and Providence shows. If he succeeds, he may appear on the Thursday May 27 broadcast at 9 p.m. He is Bristol’s only resident to reach this stage.
