Assessors May Have Problem In Change Of Date
Assessors may face a tight schedule if the annual town meeting date shifts from April to May. State law requires filing the tax book by June 15, leaving limited time for updates. New state aid funds will not increase local tax limits, affecting school funding but not the overall tax rate.
