Pollution concerns voiced by Rhode Island air chief
Austin C. Daley, head of the Rhode Island Division of Air Pollution, warned at a Bristol Rotary Club lunch that air and water pollution are worsening due to population growth and weak governance. He blamed cars for air pollution and linked it to rising emphysema, urged legislation, and highlighted solid waste disposal as population rises.
