Battery C Impresses at Cranston Street Armory Review
Battery C of the 243d Regiment Coast Artillery presented a strong exhibition at the regimental drill and review for Governor Norman S. Case at the Cranston Street Armory in Providence. Most absences were due to hospital stays with a few proven unavailable. Top Sergeant Manuel Morris returned from surgery for appendicitis and watched his fifth review as a Battery C member. The unit supported heavy artillery and machine gun batteries, drawing many officers and friends to the event. Battery C is set to drill again tomorrow afternoon at the armory on State Street.
