Jesse Cavara 44 of 134 Metacom Avenue died Sunday at Rhode Island Hospital from injuries after a tractor overturned on Vera Mason Farm land on Metacom Avenue on April 19. Born in St Michaels Azores, he came to the United States early in life and worked at Vinson Farm for nine years. Survived by his wife and eight children, funeral Wednesday at 9:30 am with Mass at St Elizabeth's Church, burial in St Mary's Cemetery.

Local man reports attempted hold up in Bristol

Share Your Food Committee Distributes 12 Baskets
Mrs Vasta I Ruggiero chairs the Share Your Food campaign by St Rita's Club at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church. Twelve baskets were sent to the town's needy containing staples such as potatoes, hamburg, sugar, spaghetti, beans, peas, oatmeal, jelly, soup, tomatoes and tomato paste sourced from local donors including Antonio Annarummo. Donations so far include anonymous $25, Sunday School teachers and Junior Holy Name societies $5, and others totaling a few dollars from individuals.
