Due to Hope street excavations and repairs for a new State highway, Providence Bristol buses detour via Wood street to High Street State Street and Thames Street to Hope Street on return. The Hope street segment from Guiteras School junction to Herreshoff's boat yard is without bus service.

Chief Anthony J Ferrara and Capt William S Baker Jr of the Bristol Police Department can wear their proper insignias after former chief Richard J Kavanaugh returned property including two revolvers badges cap shield and keys.
