Bristol Sewer Commission reports favorable year end balance
In its annual report to Bristol Rhode Island taxpayers the Bristol Sewer Commission notes a favorable year end balance despite record pumping at the sewage disposal plant. It cites 748,929,000 gallons pumped, the second largest on record, and calls for storm sewer improvements to reduce pumping costs along with budget increases and a 10 percent pay raise for three employees.

Firefighters were called at 1045 to 40 Congregational Street, to a pan of fish in a gas oven that ignited. The fire was out on arrival with husle or no damage, and no injuries were reported.
