A capacity audience at Colt Memorial Hall watched Alfred and Herbert Haltschik perform a two piano program in the 1949-50 Community Concert Association series. Encores included Be gin the Beguine Night and Day Sabre Dance and Fire Dance. Arthur Eastman announced the 1950-51 subscription drive with 500 seats as the cap and 25 workers handling registrations at St Michael's Parish Hall.

Hold Sewer Report For Special Town Meeting
The Bristol special sewer survey committee recommends spending between 421,800 and 456,800 to fix sanitary and storm sewer deficiencies. A 20 year bond issue financed by special sewer taxes or rentals would fund the project with portions slated for relief sewers, pumping capacity, a new outfall, and related upgrades. A special town meeting will decide on the report and funding.

Perry Memorial Recreation Hall Named In Honor Of Deceased Member
The Portuguese Independent Club Band opened a new recreation room at its headquarters in memory of Manuel Perry the only member of the group killed in World War II. The Perry Memorial Recreation Hall was dedicated after a Sunday meeting approving the resolution by Anthony E. Williams. The Perry family of 43 E Street will receive a copy of the resolution. Club members completed the work in their spare time. the formal opening occurred on February 15.

Ice Cream Stand Wins Zoning Variance on Hope Street
Joseph G A Riccio protested land ownership and signatures during an hour and a half public hearing before the zoning board of review grants a variance for a 16 by 30 foot ice cream stand on Hope Street between the town bridge and a commercial garage. Herbert Geisler and Rev De Wolf Perry submitted the petition. Geisler plans to fill and build on water-covered land in a residential district to sell ice cream and related products.
