Bristol Town Election Yields Democratic Sweep and New School Board
The first biennial Bristol town election resulted in a Democratic sweep with all ticket candidates elected. Elisha Hibbert and Peter Gasper led council races. Francis P. McGovern won a seat on the School Committee along with Rev. Joseph Poja and Mrs. Cordelia Merriman. Voter turnout was 1044 of 1640 eligible amid ideal spring conditions.
