The Bristol Phoenix reports the 1903 town election delivering a decisive victory for the Coalition ticket led by Councilman Franklin, with John L Gladding and Charles S Cummings also elected. Voters faced rain but turnout reached 1169 of 1385 on the rolls, amid a fierce, bitter campaign and a festive post-election parade through the town.
