Bristol voters reaffirmed Democratic leadership as Mayor Prescott B Paull led a broad victory. Several incumbents were re elected in the town council and school committee races while the party achieved large pluralities. turnout reached 3300 ballots with 1763 unused eligibility.

Fellow workers of Col Arthur W Barrett presented him with an English briar pipe at a surprise gathering yesterday in the Franklin Street station office. The tribute came after his 47 years of service with the New York New Haven and Hartford Railroad.
Bristol taxpayers plan to meet Monday at 7 30 in Reynold School auditorium for the annual financial town meeting. Appropriations totaling 271190 61 have been approved by the Town Council and Budget Committee and will be presented to voters. A resolution will be introduced as part of the agenda.
