Former Assistant Pastor Deery Dies in Ashaway
The Rev. Francis J Deery, former assistant pastor of St Marys Church, died yesterday in the rectory of Our Lady of Victory Church in Ashaway where he served as pastor. He was 54. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St Marys with burial in St Francis Cemetery Pawtucket. Survived by two brothers James J and Arthur B Deery of Providence and four sisters Mrs Wilfred Richards Mrs Elmer Bartelson Mrs Louis OBrien and Mrs Raymond McGowan of Hartford.
