Successful BPT Launch at Herreshoff Shipyard This Morning
Under near perfect conditions the BPT 29 was launched at Herreshoff's shipyard after 11. Mrs Adolf F Haffenreffer Jr of Fall River sponsored the vessel. General Manager C W Haffenreffer praised loyal workers who protected the RPT boat during last Saturday's storm. The launch featured champagne, the national anthem and a brisk crowd of workers, families, naval officers and guests. The thermometer stood at 10 above zero.
