Korean Orphans See Wonders of American Life
Thirty two Korean orphans ages eight to twelve form the World Vision Korean Orphan Choir. They will perform at Providence Veterans Memorial Auditorium on March 14 at 8 p.m. The group, selected from 13 000 orphans in 151 homes, tours to raise awareness and funds for World Vision projects, notably a World Vision Children’s Hospital near Seoul. The chorus will stay at the Sheraton Biltmore in Providence with beds removed for safety. Governor Chafee proclaimed Korean Orphan Choir Day as the troupe visited the state legislature and YMCA. The tour runs through December 29 with further stops in the United States and Canada.
