Pastor Invited to Return to State Street MFE Church

Rev. Charles W Martin, pastor of the State Street MFE Church for four years, received a unanimous invitation to return. Rev. EE Wells, superintendent of the Providence District, presided as reports were given and officials appointed. Martin may be reassigned to his current charge at the annual conference next month.

Barrington Driver Avoids Pedestrians Sparks Two-Casualty Warning

Luigi Andreozzi of Barrington hit a car driven by James Conley after he swerved to miss two women in the road. William Conley suffered a minor cut from windshield glass. Deputy Chief Pearson ruled the crash unavoidable and the Conley car could continue. A second collision occurred Saturday on High street involving a Fall River truck and a local sedan. no injuries reported.

Olympians Meet Good Shepherd In Y Court Clash

Tomorrow evening the Olympians face the Good Shepherd quintet from Pawtucket Church League on the local Y court. Star Chuck Roberts known as a top high school high scorer will lead the visitors alongside Al Roberts from Bryant and Stratton and Dean formerly with the Massachusetts Aggies. The Olympians draw their regular lineup for what should be a snappy game.
