The Providence County Kennel Club hosts its 48th annual Dog Show and Obedience Trial at the Cranston Street Armory in Providence. Judging spans 86 breeds varieties and miscellaneous class starting at 9 am, with 78 obedience entries at 10 am. The entry count tops last year’s record of 961, making it the state’s largest dog show.
The Bristol County Section of the RI Association for Retarded Children will meet Wednesday evening at eight o'clock at the Community Services Hall 437 Main St Warren. All parents and friends are invited with refreshments after the meeting.
The Bristol-East Providence District of the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women meets next Tuesday at 8 pm in Sacred Heart Church East Providence. Guest speaker Miss Barbara Jencks editor and writer will discuss From a Catholic Journalist's Notebook. She is a Rhode Island native with a long career and publications.
