"'C' Riflemen R I Champs" reports that Battery C indoor rifle team won the National Guard Bureau Indoor Rifle Tournament, defeating Battery A 1295 to 1254 at Cranston Street Armory. Six team members plus others were selected to represent the 243rd AAA 90 mm Gun Bn against a regular Army team at Camp Wellfleet, Mass. on March 18. The Bristol riflemen were unbeaten in 14 matches, posting a high team average, with individual scores listed for 14 matches.

Library Circulation Reflects Seven Year Increase
The Rogers Free Library reports its 78th annual circulation rose for the seventh straight year, totaling 36,035 over 294 open days, up 542 from last year and 5,746 since 1947. Registered borrowers reached 3,641 with 400 new titles added. 269 books were withdrawn, including 250 discarded fiction. The collection now numbers 25,439 with donations from several patrons. A Dictionary of American History was added, and the American Lending Library rental service ran for a fifth year.

Festival highlights all state solo ensemble by Guiteras students

Probate Court yesterday morning allowed the will of George Hibbert who died September 14 leaving a $7,000 estate to his wife Annie Hibbert who was named executrix with a $10,000 bond.
