Mock Trial A Success At Kearney Legion Post Event
About 150 legionnaires from across the state attended a Friday evening mock trial at Kearney Post No 6 American Legion in Gar Hall. State officials and members of the Auxiliary joined in a lively, humorous performance followed by a business meeting and plans for the annual Legion show.

New York Educator Seeks Navatt College Model
A national education leader spoke in Rockwell Hall about a proposed Navatt college to be opened next summer. Miss Ada Hartzell and Dr Stone of Brown University supported the venture, envisioning an adult education center with courses in history science literature economics and arts limited to 20 initial students with plans to expand as buildings are added.

Library marks 45th anniversary and 445 years of service
Last Sunday March 4 marked the Rogers Free Library opening in this town and the 445th year of continuous service by George Arnold who began as librarian at age 15. Arnold, born 1843 in Mass, educated in local schools and Rhode Island Normal, belongs to multiple historic and library associations and has overseen thousands of loans over 45 years totaling about 924200 books in circulation.

Young man arrested after assault at Spring Cave station
A 23 year old man from Sprig Green was arrested Sunday at Warwak on charges of assault. He attacked Mass Catheric Mahon in the Spring Cave waiting station, covering her mouth and biting his thumb. The woman fought back and fled. neighbors alerted authorities and the suspect was taken into custody.
