Callan told the Bristol Portuguese-American Civic League that the town should grant proportionate loans to destitute property owners from funds allotted under the State Unemployment Relief Act. A large crowd attended the closing night of The Dover Road a three act comedy by A A Milne staged Tuesday evening in the Guiteras Memorial Junior High School auditorium. Bristol prepares for the biennial town election on March 8 as 4229 residents are listed eligible to vote by the Town Council. The 1933 total tops 1931 by 256 and 1929 by 465, and surpasses last fall’s national and state totals by six. In First District Democratic territory 2313 are listed, including 1337 men and 976 women. Second District Republican area shows 1916 eligible, with 1002 men and 914 women.
