McCormick Re-Arrested in Rubber Goods Larceny Case
Richard H. McCormick, held on a 600 bond for Justice Court appearance on the 20th alt, failed to appear, was re-arrested Friday on a second complaint for larceny of rubber goods worth about 450 dollars from National Rubber Co. He pled not guilty before Justice Titus and remains in jail after defaulting on a 2000 bond for Friday’s examination.

The Town Council met to rename the Back road as Metacom avenue in honor of Metacom the Wampanoag chief. Edward McCool, a Bradford street saloon keeper, faced six charges including keeping a nuisance and illegal sales of liquor. He pleaded guilty to four counts and was fined and jailed for thirty days. Gov St John visited town under Woman's Christian Temperance Union auspices and spoke on liquor prohibition to a packed hall. Property transactions in February show several sales along Main road to Warren, Garfield avenue, Wood street and Thames street.
