Sabin Oral Polio Vaccine Ready for RI Clinics
About 750000 doses of Sabin oral vaccine are being prepared for dilution to nine hospital depots for distribution to 73 clinic sites across Rhode Island this Sunday March 3. The vaccine arrived at Hillsboro Airport and is stored in deep freeze at McKesson Robbins Providence Wholesale Drug Company facilities. 5000 doses were thawed for use at the Cranston Street Armory advance clinic for the state's medical family. Three-dose schedule set for March 3 April 21 and fall with registration forms mailed to utility customers and available at neighborhood drugstores. A 25 cent donation per dose funds vaccine costs. The program is sponsored by the State Medical Society with RI Health Dept to end polio in RI.

Chafee Sees Jobs as Key Priority for Rhode Island
