A powerful winter blow hit Rhode Island last night bringing rain sleet and six inches of snow. Snow continued this morning as forecasters expected a noon cessation. Many schools closed the day, while motorists returning to their cars found them buried under the icy glaze.

Miserandino Elected Fourth of July Committee Chairman
