District Court Discharges Man After Lengthy Trial
In a two hour District Court session yesterday Manuel Sousa was discharged by Judge Bosworth after the State led evidence alleging indecent behavior with Mrs Costa of Wilson's Lane on February 5. Testimony showed Sousa visited the home, discussed a dance, and proposed improper conduct. Sousa admitted many details but denied intent. The case also referenced Portuguese boarders and local residents including Sheriff Cady and Captain Morrissey. The civil docket cases were continued. no new cases entered.
