Readers on Poppa Squash fear fireworks will damage lawns gardens and threaten safety. The town committee redirects the display to the De Wolf farm on the east shore to avoid traffic congestion and improve viewing sightlines while restricting trespass and boat access to prevent accidents.

Miss Susan Easterbrooks, daughter of the late George Easterbrooks, wed Clarence Po Smith of Filona Ohio at Mrs McCaw’s Benefit Street home in Providence. The newlyweds will honeymoon in the White Mountains before settling in Providence.
