Ridi cule Reading and Odd Household Tales

A collage of comical vignettes and anecdotes from daily life includes a quarrel of guests over a warm fire, a child’s brave cry versus a sibling’s mockery, a mock generosity tale about a table caster and a preacher, a theatre incident ending in a bald mishap, and multiple short notices and medical pitch lines typical of a 19th century periodical.
