$25 Million Sewer Plan Moves Toward Full Town Extension
Twenty five members of the town sewer advisory committee recommended a complete sewer extension program rather than piecemeal work. The plan estimates total costs near $25 million with about $7 million to be financed by local taxpayers. The group met with Metcalf and Eddy engineers and cited new federal anti pollution funding and a shift to secondary treatment plants required by the Environmental Protection Act.
