Eighty three members of the Bristol High School graduating class of 1950 will receive diplomas at the Commencement Exercises in Andrews gymnasium at 8 15 p m Thursday. The week includes Class Day at 2 p m tomorrow in the Andrews gymnasium and a Class Banquet and Dance at 7 p m tomorrow in Colt Memorial auditorium.

Kearney Rangers win state drum corps title at Providence
The Kearney Post Rangers Drum and Bugle Corps of Bristol captured first place for the second year in a row in the American Legion State Department statewide competition at Providence. The Rangers edged H I Drummond Post of Pawtucket 93 to 92, while the Bristol Boy Scout Corps won best appearing drum corps and best appearance on the field. Bristol Fourth of July committee reports Gov John O Pastore will attend the celebration with a 17 gun salute by a national guard battery before the military civic and firemen parade. Antique cars are expected to exceed 15 vintage vehicles in the parade. Arrival of Volunteer Companies by Rail and Sea
The Mechanics of Warren arrived on the 9:22 train, with several other companies on the 10:10 train and on a 10:25 special.
