Threats Reported by Factory Foreman at National India Rubber

Foreman Michael Espinosa of the National India Rubber Company reported to police that a compatriot threatened his life yesterday. Espinosa considered issuing a warrant but decided against it after a sign appeared on Wood Street near the factory reading that Edward Maturi was a good man and that Espinosa would be killed.

Buff Bottomley has signed with Pawtuckets of the Colonial League and debuted yesterday versus Brockton, contributing a hit and a run as Pawtucket won 3 to 0. he will catch for Pawtucket again tomorrow.

Rhode Island Boy Scouts Plan Newport Excursion

About 500 Rhode Island Boy Scouts will ride the steamer Pomham from Providence on a complimentary trip to Newport tomorrow departing at 10 a.m. A Bristol stop at 10:15 a.m. will take on the First Bristol Troop and Warren and Barrington troops. After Newport, Bristol also receives a stop before returning. The local troop with the band meets at 10 o'clock at headquarters. The First Bristol Troop has Tag Day planned for July 3 and a committee is named to arrange it. The First Bristol Troop of Rt. Boy Scouts will drill tonight with a band rehearsal to follow.
