Registrar James F. Williamson urges all owners with vehicles over one year to complete mandatory inspections by June 30 to avoid delays. With 276,288 stickers sold so far, a possible last minute rush is anticipated as more vehicles are registered. Spot checks will follow statewide at period end to ensure safety.
A June 6 session of the Fifth District Court lists multiple guilty pleas and fines for traffic offenses from Bristol Fall River Warren and Providence areas. Names include David R. Baldwin Edward Trudell Stephen Holmes Paul Hoffman George Bursey John Doyle and Nancy Campanella among others. penalties range from 5 to 25 dollars with some cases continued or placed on probation. A June 1 Bristol case shows Nicholas Savoca Jr. pleading guilty for failing to observe a stop sign with a $25 fine.
Three summer programs names Seaside Tokumto and Yowoca offer resident and day camps. Open July 8 for two to eight weeks with four weeks minimum for sailing unit and counselor trainees. Activities include swimming boating sports arts and crafts dance archery and tennis.
