Colt High School auditorium is tentatively set as the Red Cross Bloodmodule Unit site for next Monday. Francis N. Perry, Jr Chamber of Commerce blood committee chair, notes Bristol last donated in February and eight weeks is required between donations. Perry says many who gave in February will be asked to donate again and local industries have pledged cooperation to assemble donor lists. Fire destroys tenement block on Bradford Street
A major fire yesterday swept a three building tenement block on Bradford Street Grove demolishing the structure and sending five families to the street. Firemen from Warren aided local crews as 100 plus men battled the blaze from 3 53 to after 6 o'clock using five hydrants and multiple hose lines. Damages estimated at 20000 dollars with the cause blamed on rubbish in an alley behind the buildings.
