Sixty Eight Years Wedded Captain West and Wife Mark Milestone
The 68th wedding anniversary of Captain J West and Mrs West of this town drew many relatives and friends to 25 Summer Street for a four to six oclock reception. Born 1833 and 1834 respectively, they married in 1854 and have lived in Bristol since 1896 with strong Colonial and Revolutionary ancestry. They have seven children, six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren, with Mrs West renowned for handiwork and Captain West active in gardening.

Strawberry Festival At St Michaels Brotherhood Held
Strawberries and cream and various treats were served at the annual Strawberry Festival held by St Michaels Brotherhood yesterday afternoon at the Palmers. Henry Wo Rettington served as chairman of the general committee with St Michaels Church Guid assisting. Other committees handled reception, refreshments, waiters, kitchen, and cashiering.
