Rhode Island phones shift to postpaid billing in July
Bristol subscribers will see a switch from paying in advance to paying after service. The New England Company ends advance billing for local exchange service for a month, moving about 360000 dollars of monthly charges to arrears. Manager Taber notes the change follows Public Utilities Commission guidance and urges prompt payment.

At the Burnside Lodge No 34 Knights of Pythias meeting in G A R Hall on Tuesday evening plans were discussed to attend the Rhode Island Social Pythians Association field day in East Greenwich on Saturday. A Riverside Lodge No 21 committee attended and invited Burnside Lodge to work the rank of Knight on a June 19 class at Riverside. Supreme Representative James A Clarkson of Burnside Lodge was announced as deputy of Riverside Lodge.
