Blithewold House Destroyed By Fire In Bristol
Blithewold the summer residence of Mr and Mrs W L McKee on Ferry Hill was totally destroyed by fire yesterday afternoon. Firemen and locals saved much furniture and fixtures, though the building burned to ashes after 1245 PM. Estimated loss on the structure around 50000 with over 40000 insured. McKee plans to rebuild. cause suspected near a chimney or elevator shaft in the kitchen.

Ferry Hill Fire Ravages Mansion and Outbuildings
Fire at Ferry Hill caused two hours of blaze in the south wing and roof as a southwest wind fed flames. The cistern and artesian wells supplied water for two hours but could not save the house. Mr and Mrs McKee and family occupied the building. neighbors and 20 workers helped move furniture to safety as hydrants were unavailable and hose length hampered efforts.

Auto and Carriage Collide in Barrington Collision
A Barrington automobile and a buggy collided last Saturday night, throwing Alvernor Gladding and Miss Ada Munroe from the buggy. Gladding, injured in the chest and other parts, was taken to Warren by Dr. M. E. BaroFrin and was reported resting comfortably with a likely recovery. The auto, number 889, carried six people, including John Allen of Central Falls. Munroe sustained only slight injuries.
