Memorial Day Observance Sparks Veteran Attendance Question
A Bristol letter to the editor criticizes the Memorial Day parade for the scant presence of veterans. The writer notes a few veterans on the chief marshal’s staff and among the National Guard, with only a handful marching behind the Kearney Post colors. He claims over 400 veterans belong to local groups, plus several hundred unaffiliated, and urges broader participation from all veterans in the observance.
