Deserter Flynn Captured Near Bristol on Navy Role
On July 2 James Flynn, a Bristol Navy deserter from the Wabash, was tracked by Bristol and Thornton police to a Suburban car. Capt Morrissey seized him, a revolver was removed, and Flynn identified by a tattoo. He was sent to Charlestown Navy Yard while a companion who remained with him disappeared. A second former sailor and revolver were later recovered. Flynn is tied to thefts in Bristol.
