King Philip Bakemaster Clambake Serves 5,000 This Year
The King Philip Bakemaster enters its second season with about 5,000 served since May 30 and a projected 15,000 by October. About 500 bushels were used last year, 225 this year to date, with more than 500 bushels likely needed. Most clams are local or from Maine and Revere, Massachusetts. Brunelli notes growth and says clambakes remain central despite other barbecue options. Rising attendance could change the trend if interest wanes.
