Mount Hope water service debated by town council
At a semi monthly meeting residents Michael Coughlin Henry Sylvia and Lewis Costa urged extending water service from Third Street to Metacom Avenue citing fire protection needs and high demand. A Bristol & Warren Water Works reply by President Manchester said costs exceed revenue at current rates and pledged to revisit when costs normalise. The council also heard a rate/ service note from New England Telephone and Telegraph and granted sidewalk repair for 37 Franklin Street along with peddler permits.
