Great Italian Feast Celebrated by Warren Residents
A large Italian celebration honors St Mary of Carmel with a daytime parade, a Mass at St Mary's Church, and evening fireworks. The Imperial Italian Band led the procession from Wood Street to the church, with concerts on the common and sports including a 100 yard dash. Festivities drew thousands, including visitors from Warren and Providence, and featured lantern arches, decorated houses, and a grand fireworks finale.
