Earl Hobson Returns as Director of Parish Activities at St. Michael's

Pie Eating Match Big Feature at Playground

Anthony E Agatiello announces this week’s activities at the Common and Veterans Park. The pie eating contest was postponed to 2 PM on the Common with 40 pies. children in three classes will compete and all Veterans Park events are canceled to focus on the contest. New equipment includes a junior slide a 10 foot slide and new fire pits on the Common while the Park gains a volleyball court a basketball court and a boys league organized by Lou Margo. Lighting upgrades at the Common and dancing and basketball plans for teens are noted. Only active park attendees may earn Boston trip tickets on August 5 and parents are urged to keep children off the town beach after 6 PM though beach hours extend to 8 PM.
