Bristol Aerie No 953 Fraternal Order of Eagles met in Eagle Hall Hasbrouck block A with five officers forming a panel to study staging a Labor Day week carnival. Past Worthy President John F Powers received a gold Eagle watch fob from Worthy President Charles A Duquette. Powers named Grand Aerie convention delegate for Toledo August 10 but will not attend. One membership application was received. Next meeting set for August 10.

Annual Italian Celebration Schedule and Events
The Italian community offers masses, parades, concerts, and fireworks for the Our Lady of Mount Carmel feast. July 16 features early masses and a salute of bombs. July 27 includes a wood-street parade and illuminated common with a band concert. July 28 presents mass, Bristol common concerts, baseball, a greased pole contest, and a fireworks finale. Parade formations list Famiglietti Providence band, Holy Name Society youths, Portuguese Independent Band, and Castiera Amalfi Society with civic guests. The committee is led by Dominick Romano with officers Coppola, Bruno, Langello, Vollaro, Manzi and others.

Fifth District Court Sentences Man for Family Neglect
Thomas Malone of this town received six months in the state work house after being found guilty of neglecting to support his wife Angelina and infant child. The case, a long matter since June 8, showed Malone’s own testimony of an $8 five week net from fish business with Gaetano Cherell. Judge Hammill, and probation officer Brady, noted his insufficient effort and frictions with Mrs Malone.
