Bristol Fourth of July Festivities and Parade Highlights
Bristol celebrated with a long Fourth of July program featuring a reception for U.S.S Cincinnati officers, a Sailors vs Town Team ball game, a vivid parade led by Chief Kavanaugh and Chief Marshal Haffenreffer, and a later band concert. The day included a large turnout, Indian braves, artillery bands, a governors review, and a public viewing of the U.S.S Cincinnati. The water fight by Defiance Engine won $50 and a cup, while evening concerts capped the celebration with patriotic tunes and a star spangled finale.
