Editorial rebuts Bristol storm claim and defends Fourth of July norms
The piece argues the Bristol Journal misrepresented a peaceful gathering at Hope Street near O B Rockwell’s home as a riot. It states the crowd dispersed after minor disturbances and emphasizes a national movement to reduce Fourth of July injuries, urging parents to teach true patriotism and good citizenship rather than sensationalism.
