Red Cross Benefit A Runaways Bazaar At Naval Armory
The Runaways cast stage a bazaar and dance at the Naval Armory the night before the Fourth attracting about 500 attendees. Prof Donovan's orchestra provided music as booths drew generous patronage and the event raised several hundred dollars for the local Red Cross Auxiliary. A standout act was Mlle Nevah of New York in a next to nature solo dance though waxed floor slickness reduced her full performance. The Armory interior featured Red Cross emblems and a National colors display spelling The Runaways.
