Parade and Fourth of July Ball Draw Big Crowd Led by Senator Pell
Thousands join the Fourth of July festivities as US Senator and Mrs Claiborne Pell head the grand parade. The ball at the National Guard Armory drew many in uniform with music by Art Tancredi. Earlier, USS Lester softball teams fell 26 to 6 to Bristol Champ while visitors toured the Lester and ships at State Street.
