Rotary Club Installs Bristol Officers and Welcomes New Members
John D. Moore of Nar ragansett Electric Co Bristol County division became president of the Bristol Rotary Club succeeding Albert Fusonie. Frank J. Sylvia is vice president and Howard R. Newman A L Johnston and Charles H Liscomb re installed as secretary treasurer and assistant treasurer. New members Norman Gravin and Paul C Millemagg welcomed. Last week marked the club 17th anniversary with Ladies Night. Rev John Nichol Mark spoke aided by music from the Iacoletti Trio and remarks by Milt Burghardt and former district leaders.

Blue Cross Approves Higher Hospital Payments in Rhode Island
The Blue Cross Board raises annual hospital payments by over 100000 with no rate increase to subscribers. Effective July 1, the 6 percent average rise follows rising salaries and costs, the fourth hike since Blue Cross began in Rhode Island. Thirteen member hospitals, including Jane Brown Homeopathic and St. Josephs, will receive the increased payments.

Bristol Zoning Board hears Elias Abelhera garage plea
On Monday July 8 1946 at 7 P.M. in the Town Council Chambers Bristol Rhode Island the Zoning Board of Review heard a petition by Elias Baptista Abelhera of Franklin Street Bristol seeking a special exception to the Bristol Zoning Ordinance. The request would allow a garage at the corner of Franklin and High Streets measuring 20 by 40 feet and placed on the east line of the property instead of the required five feet from the property line.
