Fourth of July Parade Orders and Program Told
National salute at 6am on the Common and church chimes mark the morning. The parade assembles at 9.30am with marching orders at 10. A lengthy formation lists divisional marshals and units from police to Boy Scouts, Bristol clubs, and civic groups. After the parade, Town Hall hosts a program with an Invocation, reading of the Declaration, speeches, and music by Royal and Herreshoff bands.

Seaplane Exhibition and Community Events Schedule
At 2 pm weather permitting seaplanes perform an exhibition. A 3 30 pm ball game features Bristol World War Service Team versus Newport Naval Training Station. The Royal Band of Providence gives a concert at the same hour with operatic and light selections. After the 5 pm antiques parade marshal leads a Hope street parade past Remieres and through Church, High, Union streets to judge lines.
