Independence Day Programme for 134th Anniversary

The committee of arrangements presents the July 4 1910 programme with salutes at 6 am 6 pm and 12 midnight by the Bristol Artillery detachment. Bells of local churches will ring as part of the celebration.

Fire and Military Parade Schedule at Franklin Street

At 6 am and 6 pm chimes will toll followed by a Governor’s salute at 9.30 am at Franklin Street Station by Bristol Train of Artillery detachment for the Governor and Staff. A grand Military Naval and Firemen parade forms at 10 am with divisions aligned on State High Wood and Chécì streets. march at 10.15 in order led by Capt. Thomas and Chief Marshal Wendell R. Davis with Col. Charles W. Abbott Jr and staff.

Graduation Day at Celt Memorial High School

Ideal summer weather welcomed the class of 1910 as Celt Memorial High School held Class Day exercises at 10 a.m. in the auditorium and 2:30 p.m. ceremonies for diplomas. The program featured speeches, poems, music, and a prize presentation by School Committee President Rev. W. R. Trotter, including multiple class-donor prizes and an infant honorary member.
