March of Dimes Auction Boosts Bristol Campaign Totals
Contributions over the weekend raise Bristol 1950 March of Dimes fund to 577.65 with a goal to top the year’s collection. Albert Means notes the 15 day drive ends today and a third annual auction at Colt Memorial High School will close the drive with a fun and fundraising event.

Four Twilight League Governors Resign from Bristol Board
Four of seven Bristol Twilight League governors submitted resignations to Carl Carlson secretary of the board of recreation and Edward Holmes chairman. Four Mariner Scouts Carol Benson Ann Carreiro Frances Nero and Marilyn Smith passed the Midshipmite knot requirements at yesterday's Girl Scout Mariner Ship Vigilant meeting. World War II Memorial Committee submitted a progress report on plans for a veterans memorial municipal building. The panel will present preliminary findings to the town council by Feb 1 and may issue additional reports if asked. First Bristoe Troop held Carnival Night in Scout Hall with flags bunting and oaths.
