A Sunday morning fire badly damaged a one and a half story cottage at Constitution Street owned by Josiah F. Peckham. Neighbor Miss Nelle Read first spotted smoke and alerted neighbors, saving occupants. Firemen cut a roof hole to extinguish flames. piano and other furnishings lost. insurance covers loss.
